At WIS, our Primary School Library is uniquely positioned to support students' language learning because the collection has been developed in three languages: English, French and Spanish.
Each language is easily identified on the shelves by our students and teachers through color-coded spine labels.
Students have access to a broad range of materials including (but not limited to) picture books, early readers, chapter books, a non-fiction and reference collection, books on C.D., magazines and Playaways.
Tumblebooks is a collection of online ebooks in English, French and Spanish with a read-aloud feature. Students can choose their language from the home page. Books include picture books, early readers and chapter books. There are also excellent videos from National Geographic and other publishers in Spanish and French.
Storyplay'r is a collection of French and English ebooks with a read-aloud feature.

Throughout the year, we add to the book collection through domestic and international acquisitions. We encourage students to look at the lists of our recent additions, browse our online catalog and, when possible, come in to the library!
We welcome suggestions for new books, journals/magazines and databases. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with details and your suggestions will be included for consideration. Thank you!
Online databases aimed at primary school-age children are also collected through annual subscriptions. They range from encyclopedias to videos to a child-friendly internet search engine. View our full list of digital resources and don't hesitate to contact us for help using them or passwords.
Games and Playthings
The library also keeps a great range of educational board games, card games, craft items and Lego to keep our recess visitors happy and engaged.
